Intelligent Transportation Systems, or ITS, has become an increasingly essential component for the efficient management of the nation's road network. Private and public-sector highway operators gear up to much higher levels of IT, computer and sensing technologies, to manage the day-to-day operation of their assets. ITS systems encompass a broad range of wireless and Ethernet communications-based information, control and electronics technologies.
